Happy Dance!

Journal Entry: Wed Jul 4, 2007, 10:49 PM
So, my cousin took me to an art store. It was really nice. While I was there, I decided it was high time I started inking my drawings. So, I bought a bottle of ink and a brush, since I'm not a big fan of pens. I have now begun the slow, yet remarkable entertaining process of inking my drawings....at least, all the ones I think are worth looking at. Eventually everything on here will be inked, and therefore will look like real art. Yay!

Well, here I am.

It's been a long time. A really long time. Over a year, in fact, since I last updated this journal. Well, I've really been neglecting my account here. I've been focusing a lot on other things, like life, and stuff. Lame excuse, I know, but I don't think anyone really cares, so....yeah.

Anyway, the point of this journal entry is to state that I have a nifty new digital camera, and a computer with internet access in my room now. This means I will actually be uploading art, because I can. I thought it would be best to start with some of my older work, because some of it I still like, even if it's not very good. A lot of my current stuff is much more better (yes, I know that's improper grammar, but I think it's funny, so deal) but I wanted people to see where I started with art, rather than just jumping into my present work. Also, all of these pieces will require slight tweaking in paintshop because my digital camera can only do so much. Taking the pictures with the flash makes it impossible to see the drawings, but without it, they appear too dark. So, basically, all I'm doing in paintshop is adjusting the brightness, and the angle if need be. I didn't think that was enough changing to count as digital art, so everything is still listed as traditional. Just wanted to clarify.

That's really about it. My life is pretty boring otherwise. I'm legally an adult now, which means I can buy cigarettes and porn, y'know, everything I need to live :: insert tone of oozing sarcasm here :: so, I guess that's exciting. I got a job today, which is also exciting...well, kinda. Other than that, there is really not much to my life. So...sally forth, and view my artwork. Better stuff to come, in time....I hope.

Also, I randomly fell like filling out the little info boxy-thing, which I never do, Emoticons and all. So, here goes....

  • Mood: Content
  • Listening to: I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) - The Proclaimers
  • Reading: Heart of Darkness (blegh)
  • Watching: Too much TV
  • Playing: Sims 2 (addiction is bad)
  • Eating: Easter Candy, duh
  • Drinking: Milk - because of all that chocolate

It's Been Awhile

I have not been hanging around much lately. I guess DA just fell lower on my priority list.

Anyway, I've finally come to terms with the fact that my parents are never going to get a scanner, no matter how many times I remind them that I need one. So, my art is still in my sketch books, waiting to be submitted.

Oh well, what can you do?

Hippo Birdy to me.

Yesterday was my birhtday.

Woot.

I had so much fun! It was a very happy day. I was (and still am) in a good mood.

My best friend gave me a sweatshirt that says "Inconceivable!" She went to one of those places that print/embroider stuff on shirts and had them make it. If you don't know why "Inconceivable!" is funny, well...1) You suck, 2) You're stupid, 3) You must go rent or buy the movie 'The Princess Bride' immediately.

That is all.

Mmm Mmm Good...

Well, this is kind of late, but my aunt had her baby....I don't know if I mentioned anything about it before, but...yeah. So, my brother and I have secretly dubbed him the "Mmm Mmm Good Baby", because his name is Matthew Campbell Cranmer. The Campbell actually has nothing to do with soup. It's because my Grandpa was adopted, and his birth name was John Campbell. I don't know why they couldn't have been like normal people and named him Matthew John. Oh well, he's still adorable, and the name doesn't matter.

Yeah, i felt that this journal was due for some good news for a change. New babies are generally good news. So...there you go.
